Who am I

About Me Link to heading

I’m Jack (陈自衡), a Software Engineer at Amazon, where I build scalable and dependable systems that power real-world applications.

Before joining Amazon, I earned my Master’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My experience spans optimizing cloud infrastructure and improving system reliability through internships at Talos Trading, StoneX Group, and Ecolab.

My research at the DEPEND Group focused on leveraging machine learning to enhance system dependability, including projects on autonomous vehicle safety and GPU reliability in data centers.

I’m passionate about writing impactful code—whether improving AV safety through traffic risk assessment, analyzing GPU failures in supercomputers, or accelerating LLM inference with smarter cache management. You can find some of my open-source projects on GitHub.
